Donald Trump has been magnificently successful in business. But according to a detailed report, he cheats in one very important aspect of life.
According to those interviewed by The Washington Post, he cheats at golf.
Trump is an avid golfer and even owns many courses throughout the world, so this might come as a shock to some readers.
Mark Mulvoy, the managing editor of Sports Illustrated, recounted a story in which Trump placed a ball a mere ten feet from the hole, even though the ball hadn’t landed there of its own volition:
“Donald, give me a f—— break,” he told Donald Trump.
“You’ve been hacking away in the g—— weeds all day. You do not lie there.”
According to Mulvoy, Trump responded by noting that “the guys I play with cheat all the time” and that he had to cheat “just to keep up with them.”
However, it must be noted, Trump vehemently denied Mulvoy’s story:
“I don’t even know who he is,” he said.
“I don’t drop balls, I don’t move balls. I don’t need to.”
“There’s very few people that can beat me in golf.”
Rocker Alice Cooper, of all people, echoed the sentiment made by Mark Mulvoy, in an interview he gave Q Magazine:
“The worst celebrity golf cheat? I wish I could tell you that. It would be a shocker. I played golf with Donald Trump one time. That’s all I’m going to say.”
Rick Reilly, an ESPN analyst who wrote a book about playing golf with celebrities, also concurred that Trump isn’t exactly forthright when it comes to his dealings with the sport:
“When it comes to cheating, he’s an 11 on a scale of one to 10,” he said.
“He took the world’s first gimme chip-in.”
Trump disputed Reilly’s claim as well. He laid it all down in typical “The Donald” fashion:
“I always thought he was a terrible writer,” he said.
“I absolutely killed him, and he wrote very inaccurately. I would say that he’s a very dishonest writer.”
“I never took a gimme chip shot. I don’t do gimme chip shots.”
Back in 2006, TMZ reported on a story in which Donald Trump was shown cheating during a round of golf by improving his lie.
Jonathan Carr, a former caddy at Trump National in Bedminster, New Jersey, had nothing but kind words about his former boss’s skill level, though he did suggest that he had a cheater’s reputation amongst the caddies (and let’s be honest here, if you’re not cheatin’, you’re not tryin’):
“The caddies would say, ‘If I get on his bag, I’m going to make sure he always has a good lie,’ he said.”
It must be noted that Reilly, who claims that Trump is a scurrilous cheater, has stated that only former President Bill Clinton comes close in his willingness to bend the rules.
But is that true? Let’s take a look at footage showing that President Obama is not only willing to cheat at golf, but he’ll use a drone to do it.
