Don’t Buy the Hype on Trump’s First 100 Days: Most Americans Support Exec. Orders–Including ‘Travel Ban’

A recent Morning Consult/Politico poll shows that President Trump’s approval ratings have dipped slightly from the two weeks that he has taken office, from 49% to 47%.

However, the same poll shows that Trump’s executive order, known as the “travel ban,” has strong support from the American people: 55% either “strongly approve” or “somewhat approve” of the order, while only 38% strongly or somewhat disapprove of it.

The Morning Consult/Politico poll was conducted February 2-4. The poll has a 2% margin of error.

The poll also asked participants how they felt about President Trump’s Supreme Court replacement Neil Gorsuch and about the president’s decision to keep Obama’s LGBTQ workforce regulation protections.

On 11 executive orders, more Americans support Trump’s decisions than oppose them.

Doesn’t look like Trump’s first hundred days in office have been quite so controversial so far–much of the media would have people believe–at least, to most Americans asked about it.
