El Salvador President to Discuss Migration with Trump in New York

El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday in New York to discuss migration, regional security and investment, Bukele’s office said in a statement on Monday.

The two leaders will be in New York for the annual United Nations General Assembly, the statement added.

  1. Hmmm….what more effective message than “clean your shi* up so your citizens STOP fleeing”?

    I wonder if the US instituting rule over Central America would not more practical and less expensive than dealing with these failed countries. Maybe those who supported ‘banana republics” had a point. There literally are countries that cannot run themselves because the people and culture are not ready for it. The US will gain by nipping”caravans” in the bud and throwing caltrips in their path. This is realpolitik.

    We aren’t the world’s police nor should we be the world’s savior. Quid pro quo. You want our help, you pay our price.
