Former Attorney General Eric Holder took to Twitter to express his concern over the treatment of families held at the border.
Holder tweeted, “Return ALL of the separated children,” with a quote from Former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt:
“Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. A nation does not have to be cruel to be tough.”

Many history buffs were quick to remind the former attorney general of Roosevelt’s treatment of Japanese-Americans during the Second World War. Roosevelt forced U.S. citizens into Internment Camps because of their Japanese ethnicity.
As expected, many turned to Twitter to roast Holder for his historical blunder.

Those who weren’t pouncing on Holder for his historical blunder were addressing his own hypocrisy. While working under Former President Barack Obama, Holder maintained many of the same border policies.
If it weren’t for double standards, liberals would have no standards at all.

Holder is not the first person to condemn President Donald Trump’s border policy while forgetting that Obama held many of the same positions.
Many Democrats mistakenly shared a picture of children in a border detention facility from 2014 after an Arizona Republic article resurfaced on social media.
Democrats mistakenly tweet 2014 pictures from Obama’s term showing children from the Border in steel cages. They thought it was recent pictures in order to make us look bad, but backfires. Dems must agree to Wall and new Border Protection for good of country…Bipartisan Bill!

Earlier this month, Holder hinted that he will run in 2020 as the Democrat candidate against Trump.
