Eric Trump Thinks George Conway’s Legal Criticism of Trump Tops All Other ‘Ugliness’ in Politics

Eric Trump decided to publically weigh in on a marital dispute between Kellyanne Conway and her husband George on Twitter Tuesday, insinuating Geroge’s criticism of President Donald Trump disrespected his wife.

Geroge has never publically called out his wife. Instead, most of his criticism is directed at the president and most of it uses legal evidence, as George is a lawyer. He recently published pieces in the New York Times and Washington Post that detail why he thinks the president’s actions are unconstitutional.

Most recently, Geroge implied President Trump was guilty of obstruction of justice for praising Roger Stone for promising not to testify against the president.

But George didn’t respond directly to Eric’s insinuation that he disrespects his wife. Instead, he retweeted some of the harshest criticism on Trump’s tweet from other users, including a tweet that brings up Donald Trump’s alleged affairs with pornstars.

“Wait. Did I miss something?” the harsh tweet from Reza Aslan reads. “Did George Conway pay money to have sex with a porn star right after his wife gave birth?”

While Eric attacked George, his father stayed relatively neutral on the issue. When asked by reporters in November what he thought on Geroge’s criticism, President Trump had a short response.

“He’s trying to get publicity for himself,” he said. “Why don’t you do this: why don’t you ask Kellyanne that question, alright? She might know him better than me. I really don’t know the guy.”

It’s never a good look to criticize the relationship of another couple.

Yet George, a literal nobody, chooses to mouth off. He does so despite the splashback on his wife.

I wonder, were his wife NOT so prominent, if he could even get coverage. So yes, he’s exploiting their relationship and NOT to her benefit. Can we say “user”?

Screwtape I had a similar thought. Mine was, if it were not for having married the person that he did would anyone have ever even heard of his name?

Tom, I’m pretty sure he’d be just another lawyer. Other marriages have gotten away with this kind of thing, q.v. Matalin and Carville. I wonder what the dynamic is in the Conway household. Maybe he’s doing it on purpose to keep her profile up, without her actually having to do… Read more »

My husband is a die hard Trumpster–If Trump said the sky is green and the grass is blue, that is how he would see it. We have been happily married for almost 40 yrs. We have agreed to disagree. He discusses Trump with his buddies that share his views. I… Read more »

Mary Matalin and James Carville would be proud of you. Is this site your means of venting what you contain for the sake of your marriage? By the way, before you start your prejudicial tarring of everyone as Trumpsters, I am not. I find him less objectionable and certainly more… Read more »
