Faith Hill Suffers Devastating Loss This Weekend in Saying Goodbye to Her Mom

Over the weekend in Star, Mississippi, Edna Perry passed away at a hospital at the age of 80. As first reported by Country Rebel, Chancellor Funeral Home quietly shared a simple obituary on behalf of loved ones.

In it, among the list of family members left behind, was one Audrey F. Perry, married to Samuel T. McGraw— Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

Faith Hill, who was adopted at only a few days old, was raised in a loving home by mom, Edna, and dad, Ted, along with two older brothers.

In 2006, Larry King was interviewing Hill and McGraw together when he tried to suggest her childhood was “troubled.”

The assumption couldn’t have been further from the truth:

“Well, I actually had a pretty amazing childhood. I was adopted, if that’s what you’re referring to, but my family, my mom and my dad and my brothers, they are amazing, very stable, good Christian, God-fearing home, and a great small town of Star, Mississippi. I actually had a really stable childhood.”

Hill went a step further, saying the life she leads now is only possible because of her adoption:

“I can’t imagine the choice to do that and how thankful I am that she was able to give me the opportunity that I had because I was placed into an incredible home that I mean basically is responsible for the way I am today and the backbone that I have in order to do this for a living, which is a crazy, sometimes unstable world that this projects. But the most important thing to me is about my family and that was definitely taught from my mom and dad.”

Ted and Edna were married 59 years at the time of her passing.

Rest in peace, Edna.
