FBI agents seeking potential classified documents raided the home of former National Security Advisor John Bolton on Friday morning.

According to a source who spoke with Fox News, Bolton’s Maryland home was being searched for classified documents Bolton may still have in his possession.

Bolton was President Donald Trump’s national security advisor during his first term in office — from 2018 to 2019.

Bolton was removed because he and Trump “disagreed strongly” on policy.

As of now, Bolton, who was home when agents arrived, is neither under arrest nor in custody.

Fox News Digital also saw agents at Bolton’s Washington, D.C., office. They were removing boxes; Bolton was seen in the lobby.

The raid started on the Bethesda, Maryland, at about 7 a.m. and was ordered by FBI Director Kash Patel.

Patel then posted on X, “NO ONE is above the law… @FBI agents on mission.”

That cryptic message was then shared by FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and Attorney General Pam Bondi.

“Public corruption will not be tolerated,” Bongino wrote.

“America’s safety isn’t negotiable. Justice will be pursued. Always,” Bondi posted.

According to a senior U.S. official, the investigation started years ago. The Biden administration ultimately shut it down  “for political reasons.”

The Justice Department under Trump’s first administration sought to keep Bolton’s memoir, “The Room Where It Happened,” from being published in 2020. Officials cited the book had classified material.

The book was published after a federal judge gave permission.

CNN reported agents were seen taking bags out of the vehicles to bring inside the house. However, nothing has been seen coming out.

Trump and Bolton have become adversaries with Trump saying this month that the media was “constantly quoting fired losers and really dumb people like John Bolton.”

Trump also terminated Bolton’s Secret Service detail shortly after he returned to the Oval Office in January.
