Two influencers from the United Kingdom instantly regretted visiting Portland, Oregon, and rushed to get out of the city immediately.

The two influencers are traveling to different parts of the U.S. for the next three months and made their first stop in Portland. Will Bailey, who narrated his trip on TikTok, stated that they instantly regretted their visit after experiencing gunshots, homelessness and rampant crime.

“We decided to start our U.S. tour in the city of Portland, Oregon, but we couldn’t have made a bigger mistake if we tried. This city is far from safe. Crime and homelessness dominates this area and this is something we’ve experienced firsthand since being here,” Bailey said.

Bailey described how he woke up to the sounds of three gunshots, sirens and shouting in the middle of the night.

“It’s almost impossible to feel safe here,” Bailey continued. “And I am by no means incapable of defending myself. But sometimes it’s just best to get out of a situation while you can. We’re already making arrangements to leave this city and find somewhere a lot more secure.”

Left-wing officials in Portland are using zoning laws to disrupt Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) crackdown on illegal immigration. City officials unanimously passed a resolution on Thursday which urged members of Democratic Portland Mayor Keith Wilson’s administration to pursue legal action against federal agents accused of “unprotected/criminal use of force” against protesters at the ICE facility.

At least 195 protesters have been arrested outside of the ICE facility since June, with suspects allegedly trying to break in or assault law enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Portland said.

During a “No Kings” protest on Saturday, three people were arrested outside of the ICE facility.

An appeals court ruled on Monday that President Donald Trump can send the National Guard to Portland to protect law enforcement from protesters and rioters near the facility while legal proceedings continue.
