The former FBI official often at the center of President Donald Trump’s Twitter tirades — as well as his campaign rally speeches — Lisa Page, fired back at the president Monday, saying the Justice Department report exonerates her once and for all.
In a pair of tweets, Page, who was relatively silent up until last week despite being at the center of a political firestorm, says FBI investigators have poured over “every text, email, and note I ever wrote” and concluded that her personal feelings had no bearing on the investigation into the president.

After two IG investigations;
At least a dozen IG lawyers and investigators poring over every text, email, and note I ever wrote;
1000 pages of investigative findings;
And the President repeatedly accusing me of bias and treason; /1
The sum total of findings by IG Horowitz that my personal opinions had any bearing on the course of either the Clinton or Russia investigations? Zero and Zero.— Lisa Page (@NatSecLisa) December 9, 2019
Cool, cool. /end
A report by the Department of Justice Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, released Monday concludes that the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign’s connections to Russia during the 2016 was justified. It said that, despite numerous procedural missteps by the agency, there was no indication it was politically biased against the president.

opening of the investigations, she did not play a role in the decision to open Crossfire Hurricane or the four individual cases." https://t.co/hdonXCiru9
Despite months of abuse from Trump and other Republicans, Page remained relatively silent since she left the agency in May 2018. She left after texts between her and her lover, Peter Strzok, who was leading the counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign, leaked and showed the couple’s deep distrust of the president.
When Lisa Page, the lover of Peter Strzok, talks about being “crushed”, and how innocent she is, ask her to read Peter’s “Insurance Policy” text, to her, just in case Hillary loses. Also, why were the lovers text messages scrubbed after he left Mueller. Where are they Lisa?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 2, 2019
Page broke her silence in an interview with the Daily Beast, saying that Trump’s mockery of her at a campaign rally in Minnesota, in which he mimicked her having an orgasm, was the “last straw.”
