Dr. Ezekiel Emanual, a former White House physician and COVID adviser, said Monday that it is likely that former President Joe Biden had cancer at least since the beginning of his presidency.
According to Fox News, on Sunday a statement was released confirming that the Biden had been diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer, which had since spread to his bones.
Emanuel, an oncologist, told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that Biden has likely had cancer for “more than several years,” given his cancer is at such an advanced stage.
“So, this is not speculation. If you have prostate cancer that has spread to the bone, then most certainly you are saying he had it when he was President of the United States,” Host Joe Scarborough said.
“Oh, yeah. He did not develop it in the last 100-200 days,” Emanuel said. “He had it while he was president. He probably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021. I don’t think there’s any disagreement about that.”
Emanuel added that both former President Barack Obama and former President George W. Bush both had a prostate exam.
“It is a little surprising that the doctor didn’t take it. And if he took it and didn’t report it, and it was elevated, that is another case of doctors not being straightforward with us – we’ve had several of them with President Trump, especially around his COVID diagnosis – and if that is true, that would be very troubling,” Emanuel said.
Emanuel noted that while it is possible for a test to miss a diagnosis, its “unlikely.
“Either they didn’t test for it, or they test for it [and] they didn’t report it. And we didn’t get the information as a public,” Emanuel said.
U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Tex.) questioned the diagnosis on social media and how some of the best doctors in the world missed it.
“This is either outright MEDICAL MALPRACTICE or a COVER-UP — plain and simple!” Jackson wrote. “The White House medical team is the BEST in the world, and the blame lies squarely on Joe Biden’s personal doctor— a known liar: Dr. Kevin O’Connor.”
During an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Jackson said he finds it “inconceivable” that Biden’s cancer went undetected.
“I find it absolutely inconceivable that this man has prostate cancer after just leaving the White House,” Jackson said. “He was at the White House for four years, he had access to world class health care for four years, the pinnacle of executive … medicine.”
