Georgia Lawmakers Hit Delta With a $38 Million Punishment for Cutting Ties With NRA

Georgia lawmakers are close to passing a bill that denies Delta Air Lines a $38 million tax exemption for jet fuel.

Republicans are sticking to their word after they promised the airline there would be consequences once Delta severed ties with the NRA due to the backlash after the Parkland shooting.

Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle was also very adamant about his disapproval of the airline’s decision:

According to the Associated Press, the bill passed through both chambers by wide margins, and Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal (R) has already indicated he will sign it.
