GOP Leaders Take the High Road by Condemning Pelosi Hecklers After Dems Called for Republican Harassment

Protestors bombarded House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) as she was at a campaign stop in Florida, and Republican leaders responded by showing their distaste for the people’s actions toward the Democrat.

On Thursday, protesters heckled Pelosi, yelling “You don’t belong here” and “Socialism sucks” toward her as she entered Florida Democratic House candidate Donna Shalala’s headquarters.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) denounced the protest in a tweet, saying it was the “wrong way to express those disagreements.”

He added that “if you want to stop her policies, don’t threaten her, VOTE! That’s how we settle our differences.”

“Look at Nancy Pelosi right here. Look at this piece of s**t right here. Look at this piece of s**t Pelosi right here,” a protester can be heard yelling at Pelosi in the video. “F**king communist! You don’t belong here, you f**king communist! Get the f**k out of here! Get the f**k out of here! F**k you and your f**king Democrats!”

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) also condemned the violence conducted against Pelosi, calling it “wrong” and saying that “it should not happen” to either side of the political spectrum:

The reactions from GOP leaders came after some prominent Democrats called for or endorsed harassing Republicans and members of the Trump administration:

Hillary Clinton

“You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about,” Clinton said during a CNN interview earlier this month.

“That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and/or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again,” Clinton added. “But until then, the only thing that the Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength.”

“No peace until they get their way? More of these unhinged tactics?” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said in response to Clinton’s statement.

Eric Holder

Former Attorney General Eric Holder reworked one of former first lady Michelle Obama’s lines in a recent speech while campaigning for Democrats.

“No. When they go low, we kick them,” Holder said. “That’s what this new Democratic Party is about. We’re proud as hell to be Democrats.”

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) previously responded to Holder’s comments warning against the violent rhetorics, urging caution from both sides of the political spectrum and saying the violent rhetoric could lead to someone getting killed.

Holder later tried to say that he wasn’t telling people to engage in violence.

Nancy Pelosi

During a recent interview, Pelosi stated that there would be a loss for people who don’t share the Democrat agenda.

“If there is some collateral damage for some others who do not share our view, then so be it,” Pelosi said. “But it shouldn’t be our original purpose.”

Watch the video below:

Maxine Waters

At a rally over the summer, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) encouraged a crowd to harass the people in President Donald Trump’s administration.

“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters said.

Watch the video below:

Cory Booker

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) encouraged people to go to the Hill and “please, get up in the face of some congresspeople.”

Watch the video below:

Kelley Paul, the wife of Rand Paul, wrote in an op-ed that Booker’s comments were dangerous, as her husband was attacked while mowing the lawn and the family had received multiple threats.

This whole video of “republicans” harassing Piglosi was a setup by the left. Watch the video. Notice how Piglosi nonchalantly walks to the door. Notice how other invited guests walk to the door and go in with her. Notice that not one of the “protesters” is anywhere near her or any of the invited guests. Listen to the “protesters”, where have you heard exactly the same language? That’s correct, from all of the left’s paid protesters.

“The high road” and “republicans” should never be used in a sentence together!

Civil discourse seems to be fading, being replaced with obnoxious behavior and foul language. This should not be and is not the American way although our history is chock full of it.

More republican mob activity, right wing terrorists attack campaign office. Some fine gun wielding victim is going to blow away one of the proud mama’s boys. I’ll send thoughts and prayers https://t.co/FV76LWoJPA

This is a bunch of bs. Eric Holder said AT THE SAME event, that he meant kick them RHETORICALLY, not literally. It is not something he tried to add later. I notice that you didn’t include a single instance of Trump or anyone else, say Ann Coulter, advocating violence from the right. But Hilary saying we can’t be civil is an outrage, correct? You find 2 Republicans who distanced themselves from these ‘Proud Boy’ idiots (I notice you failed to point out that they were wearing badges and carrying a flag for this far right racist org) … & yet… Read more »
