Sebastian Gorka, the former White House staffer known for making outrageous statements, is back with a whopper, claiming that President Donald Trump‘s infamous “Access Hollywood” tape doesn’t matter because he was a Democrat at the time.
A caller phoned into Gorka’s radio show to talk about why she doesn’t like Trump, bringing up the “Access Hollywood” tape in which the president said:
“I just start kissing [women]. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.”
“How do you know he actually did that?” Gorka asked. “And remember, he said that when he was a Democrat, so let’s not forget that.”
He went on to ask the woman how she knows that Trump has groped women.

Of course, there are plenty of women who have credibly accused Trump of sexual misconduct. That count has been as high as 23. His ex-wife, Ivana, said in a deposition that Trump sexually assaulted her. Trump said he was going to sue some of the women, but he never actually followed through on that.
This isn’t the first time Gorka has made a wild remark. In mid-May, he declared that an episode of the cartoon “Arthur,” in which two male rodents get married, is proof that there is a “culture war” underway.
It’s really unclear what Gorka’s actual role was in the White House. He doesn’t seem to have accomplished anything or moved policy at all. He was out after less than a year and has since become a radio host.
