Gowdy Explains Why Intelligence Community Won’t Work with Schiff on Whistleblowers: ‘Adam Leaks like a Sieve’

Former Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) called out his former colleague Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) over his alleged leaks of information.

Schiff has been on a mission to take down President Donald Trump, with his latest attempt focused on tying the president to a whistleblowers report about his ties to Russia.

Currently, there is a whistleblowers report being handled by acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire against Trump regarding his communications with foreign leaders. Schiff has sued for that report to be given to House Democrats on the Intelligence Committee so they can review the information as part of its oversight responsibilities.

Although Schiff is suing, it doesn’t look like Maguire is going to be handing over the report without a judges order.

In an interview on “America’s Newsroom,” Gowdy claimed that the intelligence community isn’t going to hand over the documents because they don’t trust Schiff to not leak the report.

Schiff has been accused of leaking information to the press several times. Gowdy claims he warned House Democrats that the accusations against Schiff could prevent the committee from accessing information.

Watch Gowdy’s comments below:

“I warned people weeks ago that if Adam Schiff continued to be the chairperson of the House Intelligence Committee — who is one of the most deeply partisan members of the House — eventually people would stop sharing information with the Intelligence Committee and apparently that’s what’s happened. So if Nancy Pelosi wants this information given to Congress she should pick a less partisan person to be the chairperson of that committee.”

Gowdy suggested that Congress could have used its negotiation ability to try to force the Executive Branch to turn over the report, but that the main problem was that Schiff is in charge of the Intelligence Committee.

“Congress has plenty of tools but when you put someone who is wrong as often as Adam Schiff is wrong, and is as deeply partisan as he, is in charge of the Intelligence Committee, then no. You’re not going to share confidential information because Adam leaks like a sieve,” said Gowdy, adding, “That’s the consequence of putting someone that partisan as the head of the Intel Committee.”

“… a less partisan person to be the chairperson of that committee.” Looks to me the objection is Schiff leaking confidential information, not that him being partisan.

What was the Mueller Report all about?

A LOT of it was an investigation into whether our King cooperated with a foreign government or whether a foreign government affected our election, etc. Remember his “Russia, if you are listening…” speech?

What is this whistleblower concerned about?

Our King seeking the assistance of a foreign government to dig up political dirt on an opponent. In other words, a foreign government influencing our election.

This is two weeks after the release of the Mueller Report investigating him FOR THE EXACT SAME THING!

King Donald The Loser is so confusing.

Does anyone recall Trey having concerns with the previous Intel Chairman? Devin Nunes was a member of the Trump transition team. WHO can forget the midnight run to the WH and the media notification of his RETURN to the WH to present them with the information they had given him the night before! The full House & Senate Intel committees reviewed the info and even the Republican Senators could not find unwarranted unmasking. Does anyone remember Bill Hemmer asking a former member of the House if Trey Gowdy was too partisan to chair the Special House Committee on Benghazi? Trey… Read more »

Not only does he leak like a sieve but he never tells the truth. All of the US is still waiting on the proof that he had on the Russian collusion.

Rep. Schitt is shifty and untrustworthy, in the judgement of the intelligence community. He will freely leak to serve his own purposes.

McCabe and Comey were fired for doing these exact things then lying about it. Too bad Schitt is not so easily removed.
