“Mueller has spoken and found no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians after two years, $25 million, 19 lawyers, and 40 FBI agents, he decided not to bring any charges regarding obstruction of justice because there is no crime here,” Graham said on Fox News Monday evening.
The Republican lawmaker slammed the House Democrats as “politically motivated” by “trying to destroy the Trump presidency.” He added, “I can assure you that we’re done with the Mueller investigation in the Senate.”
Several House Democrats have only increased their desire to begin impeachment proceedings since Mueller made his final public statement on the Russia investigation. However, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has pushed back on those calls — although she recently reportedly said she’d like to see President Donald Trump “in prison” rather than impeached.
The latest move involved the testimony of former White House counsel for Richard Nixon John Dean on Mueller’s report during Monday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing.

The Republican senator also touched on 2020 Democratic hopeful and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s (D-Texas) comments made on Sunday during his ABC “This Week” interview where he let loose on Trump and claimed that the president “has yet to be brought to justice.”
As IJR Red previously reported, O’Rourke said Trump “did” commit crimes, suggesting they “might extend beyond what we’ve seen in the Mueller report.”
“If we do not hold the president accountable, we will have set the precedent that some people in this country […] are in fact above the law and if we do that, we will lose this democracy forever,” the 2020 presidential Democrat said.
“Who would you pick to bring Donald Trump to justice: Robert Mueller or Beto O’Rourke or Jerry Nadler?” Graham responded. “[…] Does anybody really believe that Beto O’Rourke and Jerry Nadler are looking for justice? If you believe that, I’ve got a bridge I want to sell you.”
