Legal analyst Gregg Jarrett called out Vice President Kamala Harrisâ running mate, Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, on Monday, stating their campaign tactics targeting male voters are âtransparently fake.â
The gender gap between Harris and former President Donald Trump has widened during the 2024 race, with a recent New York Times/Siena College poll showing Trump with a 51% to 40% lead among men, while Harris leads 53% to 38% among women. On Fox Businessâ âThe Evening Edit,â Jarrett highlighted a viral video of Walz apparently struggling to load his semi-automatic shotgun during a campaign pheasant-hunting trip.
âTim Walzâs blatant pandering, this testosterone tour, has come across as completely phony, Liz. He was brutally mocked, as you point out, when he struggled to load a shotgun,â Jarrett began. âHe never managed to get off a single shot while pheasant hunting. And this from a guy who falsely claimed he carried weapons of war in combat, so social media had a field day ridiculing him with Elmer Fudd from the âLooney Tunesâ cartoon. His football tour, that was equally comical. He twice was booed and jeered, other people just ignored him.â
âSo I think these tactics are transparently fake, theyâre not helping. Theyâre only heaping scorn and derision on him,â Jarret continued. âKamala Harris could have picked a competent running mate, instead she chose a self-proclaimed knucklehead and that moniker is sticking because it seems to be quite accurate, Liz.â

With polls showing Harris falling behind among male and black male voters, her campaign has made multiple attempts to reach the voting blocs by releasing news ads and proposals.
Harrisâ campaign was ridiculed following an ad released Friday where men boasted about being âman enoughâ to engage in various stereotypically male activities while also supporting womenâs issues and Harris.
Harris additionally unveiled new proposals to provide black males âwith the tools to achieve financial freedom, lower costs to better provide for themselves and their families, and protect their rights,â CNN reported. While Harris does have the majority support from black voters, recent data from the Howard University Initiative on Public Opinion shows that Trumpâs support among black men has surged to 16%.
