Vice President Kamala Harris is facing mockery for her attempt to share an example of a cultural connection between the U.S. and South Korea.

On Thursday, Harris said during an event with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, ā€œSouth Korea and the United States… also share strong culture and people-to-people ties.ā€

She continued, ā€œK-Pop bands — they top the billboards in the United States, including BTS who I had the great pleasure of meeting… I also think of the Emmy award-winning TV shows like ā€˜Squid Game’ — which I will confess Doug and I binge-watched at home over a series of weeks.ā€

Harris added, ā€œThese are examples of cultural ties and the intertwined history between our nations.ā€
