It appears former Vice President Kamala Harris is not one to name names — especially when the question is “Who’s leading the Democratic Party?”

That is the Stephen Colbert asked when Harris was on “The Late Show” Thursday, per Fox News.

“There are lots of leaders,” Harris said.

Colbert continued questioning the 2024 Democratic candidate for president.

“There’s generally ‘a’ leader of the Democratic Party,” Colbert said. “Who comes to mind?”

Harris remained steadfast in not answering the question.

“I think there are a lot of – I’m not going to go through names because then I’m going to leave somebody out and then I’m going to hear about it,” Harris said. “But let me say this. I think it is a mistake for us who want us to figure out how to get out and through this and get out of it to put it on the shoulders of any one person. It’s really on all of our shoulders. It really is.”

Earlier this week, Harris announced she would not run for governor of California in 2026. This led to speculation on whether she would run for president in 2028.

Other candidates include California Gov. Gavin Newsom, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Harris was on the show to tout her new book, “107 Days,” which refers to the number of days she was a presidential candidate in the last election.

She also expressed her shock at the amount of “capitulation” that has taken place since President Donald Trump returned to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

“Perhaps it’s naive of me, someone who has seen a lot that most people haven’t seen, but I believed that on some level, you know, there are many, there should be many who consider themselves to be guardians of our system and our democracy who just capitulated, and I didn’t see that coming,” Harris said.

She could have been referring to the settlement reached between Paramount and Trump after the president sued for “election interference.”

The lawsuit was in response to CBS’ editing of her “60 Minutes” interview in October.

Colbert, whose show ends next May, did not inquire about the lawsuit.
