Some voters in America’s “heartland” said that President Donald Trump will be better off thanks to the findings from special counsel Robert Mueller’s highly anticipated report during a Tuesday CNN spot, with one saying that the findings from Mueller’s report “helped [the president] a lot.”
During a segment on Tuesday, CNN’s Miguel Marquez spoke with a few voters in Macomb County, Michigan, about the recently released key findings from the Mueller report that Attorney General William Barr handed over to Congress.
Brian Pannebecker — an avid supporter of the president — agreed with many of Trump’s points, following the president’s lead by condemning Mueller’s investigation as a “witch hunt” and a “hoax” while calling for a probe into “the people that funded the fake dossier.”
He also added that Trump “didn’t do anything wrong.”

CNN interviewed hard-working Americans in the "Heartland" about Mueller's findings.
– It was a hoax
– It was a witch hunt
– Investigate the fake dossier
– If Dems were smart, they'd work with Trump
– The guy didn't do anything wrong

Pannebecker was referring to the infamous dossier authored by ex-British spy Christopher Steele that was used to launch the investigation into alleged collusion between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and the Russian government. Steele admitted in a deposition that he used unverified information taken from the internet to support his dossier, as IJR Red previously reported.
Former Democratic Michigan state Rep. Henry Yanez said that “it was a little bit surprising that more wasn’t revealed” in Mueller’s report and called for his fellow Democrats to “roll up their sleeves” and concentrate on policy rather than investigations.
Self-described moderate Republican John Skantze — who voted for Trump in the 2016 election but told CNN that he might vote for former Vice President Joe Biden next cycle — said he believed the findings from the Mueller report “helped [the president] a lot” and added that it “got rid of a big stigma with his following.”
Biden has not officially declared his candidacy yet but is considered a front-runner in the Democratic primary.
The principal findings from the Mueller report were delivered to Congress by Barr on Sunday and found that there was no collusion between Trump’s presidential campaign and the Russians.
