Hillary Blames ‘Systemic Racism’ for Tulsa Police Shooting. It Appears Something Else Was in His System

As has happened once again with a police shooting accompanied by graphic video, the death of an unarmed man has provoked a firestorm.

Hillary Clinton stoked the flames on Tuesday by lambasting the case prior to a jury reviewing the evidence. Her comments were reported by CNN:

Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that the recent shooting of Terence Crutcher in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was “unbearable” and said “systemic racism” should not be tolerated.

“We have got to tackle systemic racism,” Clinton said on “The Steve Harvey Morning Show.” “This horrible shooting again. How many times do we have to see this in our country?”

The ACLU has argued that Crutcher was shot “in cold blood,” while blaming police officers for failing to provide medical aid to the man after he was shot.

“A Tulsa Police officer murdered Terence Crutcher in cold blood,” an ACLU spokesman said, as reported by USA Today. “Each of the officers present were complicit in the unconscionable, reprehensible and disgusting killing of this unarmed, defenseless man.”

Here are the basic facts of the case, as reported by CNN:

Crutcher was shot and killed last week after his car broke down. The 40-year-old black man raised his hands above his head just before Officer Betty Shelby fatally shot him. Crutcher was unarmed at the time.

There is something the CNN report is missing: PCP was found by police in Crutcher’s car, as reported by KOKI-TV.

Police officer Betty Shelby stated that Crutcher was unresponsive to her commands and was acting in a manner consistent with being under the influence of illicit substances.

As Heavy.com reported, there are aggravating circumstances surrounding the “intolerable” shooting:

Attorneys for Crutcher’s family have said the PCP is not a justification for the shooting. They also argue that Crutcher could not have been reaching into his SUV, because the window was closed.

Wood said Shelby fired her gun at the same time as the other officer deployed his Taser, because they both perceived a threat.

The infamous helicopter video with audio of an unidentified police officer referring to Crutcher as a “bad dude” has already gone viral. The rest of the statement: “That looks like a bad dude, too, he could be on something.”

The officer recording the video also comments that Crutcher was “still walking” and police may have to “taser” him. It appears that the window is rolled up, but Crutcher is attempting to enter the vehicle while three officers have weapons drawn.

Many have already made up their minds that police officers were in the wrong, not having been on the ground to see Crutcher’s behavior up close, and not putting themselves in the shoes of the cops.
