Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton once again took to the cameras in the aftermath of her election loss. However, her act was kind of awkward.
Clinton appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” during which Colbert allowed his staff to ask Clinton any question — but it seemed very rehearsed, even the answers.
“Just One Question”
Colbert praised Clinton for being “that experienced and that knowledgeable,” adding that his staff “gets excited” about asking the former first lady a question.
Clinton was in a set where she answered questions from members of Colbert’s staff, and when she answered, it seemed like she already knew what she was going to say.
“What is your proudest accomplishment as secretary of state?”
Clinton: “Oh, it was just such an honor to work with the incredible diplomats that serve our country around the world.”
“The Rock or Vin Diesel?”
Clinton: “What a tough question. Boy, the ‘Fast and Furious’ movies prove that both are masters of high-octane action. And while The Rock is an indispensable part of the later films, Vin Diesel is really the heart at the center of the Toretto family. And in the end, everyone is better off when they’re able to look past what divides them and work together. You know, I like to say, ‘Stronger together.'”
[The audience laughs at Clinton’s response.]
“You’re a smart lady!” the staff member responds.
“I have a question for you. I can’t find my keys. Do you have any idea where they are?”
Clinton: “I’m sure they’re around here somewhere.”
Clinton looks around her chair: “Oh, here they are!”
Clinton was also asked to predict whether the Democrats will take over control of the White House in the 2020 presidential election.
She then jokingly responds by sharing an upcoming book with the prediction, “What Will Happen: A Book of Predictions: Hillary Clinton and Paul the Psychic Octopus.”
Some outlets are calling Clinton’s appearance “painfully scripted.”

The former Democratic candidate has previously made other appearances on “The Late Show” in which she called on the FBI to investigate sexual assault accusations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation.
“Have an investigation, it won’t take that long,” Clinton said on the show previously. “Let the investigation go forward, present it, and then go from there.”
Kavanaugh was President Donald Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court, and he went through multiple hearings and an FBI investigation before being confirmed.

Clinton also appeared on the revival of the television comedy “Murphy Brown,” where she joked about her experience with emails. She faced criticism over using a private email server for official correspondence when she was running for president in 2016.
