Hillary Clinton did not hold back when discussing Brett Kavanaugh’s emotional testimony.
During an interview at The Atlantic Festival, Clinton responded to Kavanaugh’s comments that Democrats were getting revenge for her husband former President Bill Clinton.
“I mean, really,” Clinton said. “Yes, it deserves a lot of laughter.”
Kavanaugh suggested, in his opening statement during the hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, that Democrats were using it as an opportunity to get back at him for his involvement in the Clinton investigation.

The Supreme Court nominee co-authored the Kenneth Star report that eventually led to Clinton’s impeachment.
However, the former president’s wife poked fun at Kavanaugh’s comments.
“I thought it was just part of the whole of his very defensive and … unconvincing presentation,” said Clinton. “And I told someone later: ‘Boy, I’ll tell you, they give us a lot of credit. Thirty-six years ago we started this against him.’”

She went on to say that a judge should approach cases a certain way, and that there were concerns with Kavanaugh.
“I want the FBI to conduct as thorough an investigation as they possibly can within whatever restraints are imposed upon them,” Clinton said. “But I think, for anyone who believes there’s such a thing as a judicial temperament and that we want judges, particularly those on our highest court, to approach issues, approach plaintiffs and defendants with a sense of fairness, that there’s a lot to be concerned about.”
