Hollywood City Council Votes To Remove Trump’s Hollywood Star — Guess Which Ones Are Staying

In response to President Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame being repeatedly destroyed and the site of many fights, the West Hollywood City council unanimously voted to pass a resolution for the star’s removal.

West Hollywood Mayor, John Duran, joyfully reported the news on his Twitter account:

The city council, however, does not have the power to actually remove the star; that falls on the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The chamber will now refer the resolution to their executive board.

The star’s removal is due in part to Trump’s sexual assault accusations, causing many to wonder why actors like Kevin Spacey and Bill Cosby still have stars remaining on the walk, since they also have accusations of sexual misconduct.

Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, Leron Gubler, told The Hollywood Reporter that Cosby’s star will not be removed.

“Once a star has been added to the walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Gubler said. “Because of this, we have never removed a star from the walk.”

Spacey’s star is located right next to Trump’s and does not get the same level of vandalism, if any at all.
