Hollywood Stars Are Back Telling Trump What To Do…Because It Worked So Well Last Time

A familiar batch of Hollywood actors have made yet another political video, now “demanding” that Congress stop Donald Trump — and they really mean it this time.

Though Donald Trump won the November 8th election, the cast of Hollywood characters, which includes Keegan-Michael Key, Rosie Perez, Steve Buscemi, Sally Field and others, want him and his policies blocked.

And it’s all because they believe Donald Trump is so deplorable, with one line calling him:

“Racist, sexist, anti-immigrant, anti-worker, anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic, anti-environmental…”

The 1:48 video, which some believe veers into self-parody territory, depicts Trump as so horrible than he must be stopped.

Actress Sally Field throws down their demand:

In high black and white relief, the actress intones:

“We expect you to have our backs.”

Well, then.

The last time Hollywood celebrities made a video was just after the election, in an attempt to wrest control of the Electoral College away from Trump in order to throw the decision to the House of Representatives.

Even though Martin Sheen and the others promised they’d “respect” Republican electors if they changed their votes to Hillary Clinton just this once, it didn’t work. In fact, twice as many electors abandon Hillary as Trump.

That video was such a clunker that even comedian Tina Fey made fun of the entire genre in a recent speech. She said:

“I think the real reason that Hillary lost—and it’s the thing that people are afraid to talk about: not enough celebrity music videos urging people to vote . . . I just think if there had been, like, one more funny rap, or like, another Hamilton parody, or something. Just like a little more hustle from Liz Banks, and we coulda taken Michigan.

I bring it up, actually, because the structure of those celebrity ‘get out the vote’ videos always brings me joy, because you start first with the dedicated people who agreed to show up for, like, a full weekend at the studio and then, like, record the whole thing and film it, and then by the second verse you get the people who agreed to participate, from, like, the steps of their trailer.”

But the latest video is full of actors who “demand” that Congress “vigorously oppose” Trump and “block his nominees” for office — if those nominees offend the sensibilities of the Hollywood actors who produced the video for the political action committee “Humanity for Progress.”

The Hill reports that the political PAC was also known as “Humanity for Hillary” and is now also known as #StandUpforUs and “Art Not War.”

You might want to take notes.

The video is getting sent out by MoveOn.Org, a political organization started on behalf of Bill Clinton, urging people to “sign a petition” to show that the far left really, really means their threats against Trump this time. As Red State notes, the petition will also act as a fundraising data base for MoveOn.org.
