Houston Police Search for ‘Snapchat Shooter’ After Video Surfaces of Man Firing Semi-Automatic Rifle From Car

The Houston Police Department is searching for a man dubbed the “Snapchat shooter” who was filmed firing a semi-automatic weapon out the window of a car.

In the video, the man is seen smoking and holding a red Solo Cup before resting the firearm on the window and firing multiple shots into the open air.

According to the Houston Police Department, the incident is expected to have occurred the last week of March or first week of April.

While the exact location of the shooting is unknown, police suspect it took place in the northwest part of the city and have called for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

The video, which was posted by “DabDaddyDono,” was captioned with the question, “Gang gang who want smoke?”

According to Click 2 Houston, this isn’t the first time Houston police have been on the hunt for a “Snapchat shooter.”

In December 2017, 27-year-old Sierra Tarbutton pleaded guilty to deadly conduct and criminal mischief charges after she was captured on film shooting a semi-automatic weapon out of a car window. She was sentenced to five years in prison.

Houston police posted the video on its social media pages and encouraged anyone who recognizes the person or persons in the video to contact the police department.
