During an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett, Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) brought up the 2016 election and Russia’s hacking.
“You have a president and an attorney general involving themselves at a time in a firing of an individual that was investigating,” said Booker. “Asking for more resources, in fact, to investigate, not only the Russian attacks, cyber attacks, but people who part of the campaign as Jeff Sessions was, and obviously as candidate Trump was.”
Booker made it clear to Burnett that doesn’t think President Donald Trump is taking the Russia investigation “seriously.”
Then, out of the blue, he brought Paul Revere into the discussion.
While Trump hasn’t responded to Booker specifically, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway did tell CNN’s Anderson Cooper that firing Comey had nothing to do with the Russia investigation.
