Hunter Biden Declares He Did ‘Nothing Wrong’ in Ukraine, China: I Didn’t Have an ‘Ethical Lapse’

Hunter Biden is defending his work in Ukraine and China, as he’s denying any “ethical lapse.”

“Did I make a mistake? Well, maybe in the grand scheme of things, yeah,” Biden said in an exclusive ABC News interview aired on Monday, adding, “But did I make a mistake based upon some ethical lapse? Absolutely not.”

“I take full responsibility for that. Did I do anything improper? No, and not in any way. Not in any way whatsoever. I joined a board, I served honorably. I focused on corporate governance. I didn’t have any discussions with my father before or after I joined the board as it related to it, other than that brief exchange that we had.”

President Donald Trump and the Bidens have been in the spotlight after a controversial phone call on July 25 the president had with the Ukrainian president. During the call, the president asked the Ukrainian president to investigate political rival Joe Biden, in regards to Biden’s son’s work with a Ukrainian gas company.

Additionally, Biden stated that he had “poor judgment” in being on the board of a foreign company during his father’s vice presidency, but that he believes he “did nothing wrong at all.”

“I gave a hook to some very unethical people to act in illegal ways to try to do some harm to my father. That’s where I made the mistake. So I take full responsibility for that. Did I do anything improper? No, not in any way. Not in any way whatsoever.”

Watch Biden’s interview below:

Asked that if his “last name wasn’t Biden” if he believes he “would’ve been asked to be on the board of Burisma,” the former vice president’s son responded, “I don’t know. Probably not.”

He added, “I don’t think that there’s a lot of things that would have happened in my life if my last name wasn’t Biden.”

Biden declared that he will be leaving his position on the board of a Chinese company by October 31. According to Biden’s lawyer, if his father is elected president in 2020, then Biden has vowed to “not to serve on boards of, or work on behalf of, foreign-owned companies.”

As IJR previously reported, 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden stated in Iowa on Sunday that if he’s elected, he’s “going to build on the squeaky-clean transparent environment that we had in the Obama-Biden White House, and no one in my family or associated with me will be involved in any foreign operation whatsoever.”

What do you think?

Taking money, was not wrong.
It was the way that you got the money, is what is being questioned.
Can’t wait for him to throw daddy, under the bus.
BTW, if he did nothing wrong? Why was it not mentioned, that he was also a declared lobbyist?

He could be telling the truth.
All we need to see is
When he received The invitation to be on the board
What he provided to the board that reflected his ability to be an asset to the company
A statement from Ukraine judiciary that he is not and has never been a target of an investigation in or out of Ukraine.

That would be a good start- but until he can get those things together the appearance is pretty bad

How does a guy who was kicked out of the Navy for drug use and no education in the gas or oil industry land a $600,000 a year job in a Country he knew nothing about and whose father (as Vice President) had political connections in? Simply does not pass the smell test.

Eric Trump couldn’t stay on St. Jude’s board, in which he helped raise millions of dollars, because his dad is President, but no one can see a problem with Hunter Biden serving on foreign countries boards while his dad was Vice-President. Something is wrong with this picture???

To have an ethical lapse requires that you have ethics.

It wasn’t Hunter that had the prosecutor looking into Hunter’s company, fired. It was Joe Biden. Hunter was old enough to know how all this looked.

Surely this guy flunked his ethics course in college. My five year old would do a better job understanding this than he would. Oh, please don’t tell me that Father Joe knew nothing about this or had nothing to do with this. That’s an insult to every intelligent voter – Democrat or Republican!

If he did nothing wrong, then why did Joe Biden say, if elected President, he would not allow a family member to sit on a foreign board. Democrats talking out of both sides of their mouths again. Lying, cheating, corrupt Democrats.
