President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday and made an interesting point about public opinion despite the ongoing investigation into his alleged ties to Russia:
Can you believe that with all of the made up, unsourced stories I get from the Fake News Media, together with the $10,000,000 Russian Witch Hunt (there is no Collusion), I now have my best Poll Numbers in a year. Much of the Media may be corrupt, but the People truly get it!

“Much of the Media may be corrupt, but the People truly get it!” Trump said after citing how he had his best poll numbers in a year.
On Tuesday, Rasmussen's daily Presidential Tracking Poll had Trump's approval rating at 47 percent for likely U.S. voters. And according to the Real Clear Politics average of polls, Trump grabbed a 43.1 percent approval rating in the last three weeks. Last week, that average reached 44 percent, the highest percentage in 14 months.
And according to The Washington Post, Democratic politicians are worried about Trump's improved standing as the country nears the 2018 midterm elections. Democrats' advantage in Congress reportedly decreased 4 percentage points from December as well.
Rep. Daniel Kildee (D-Mich.), who is part of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's leadership team, said Trump's “standing obviously has some impact.”
“I think anyone who was proclaiming victory a couple of months ago was premature,” he said.
Trump's higher approval rating came as his administration saw a peace agreement between North and South Korea, as well as a commitment to denuclearize the peninsula. Some, like South Korean President Moon Jae-in, said Trump deserved the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts.
