SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly on her show Thursday called an end to the transgender “delusion,” saying that President Donald Trump has followed through on his campaign promise to protect women.
During a signing ceremony in the East Room, Trump could be seen surrounded by girls and women of various ages smiling at the president as he signed “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” saying through the order that the “war on women’s sports is over.” On “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the host described how the girls appeared excited, as women who have advocated against biological males playing in women’s sports have been asking for “fairness and safety.”
“Surrounded by young, innocent, fresh-faced girls who just want to play their sports against other girls. That’s all they’re asking. Just for fairness and safety in sport,” Kelly said. “Something that for many decades has been a foregone conclusion in the wake of Title IX but wasn’t recently. Thanks to Joe Biden, that villain, and his sidekick Kamala Harris, who actually tried to convince us she could do this job.”
“The night before the election, I went to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and did something I’ve never done before in my life, certainly not as a journalist, but not even as a private citizen,” Kelly added. “That was, I endorsed a candidate and spoke on his behalf and urged other people to vote for him. I was there specifically. This was my task. I wasn’t asked specifically to do this. But my choice to explain my vote was to tell people that those who are mocking President Trump’s promise to protect women did not understand what he was actually going to do when he took the office. I was voting for him specifically because I believed that promise.”
Kelly went on to say how she has discussed Laken Riley, the 22-year-old nursing student who was brutally murdered by an illegal immigrant in Georgia. Kelly highlighted how one of Trump’s first orders of business was to sign the Laken Riley Act into law, protecting “American women and men from the crimes committed by illegals who are here, who repeatedly offend, and then in these sanctuary cities get turned right back out onto the street.”

“Now what? We’ve had three executive orders, one declaring that sex is binary. There are no trans anythings. You cannot transition from being male to female or female to male. You can pretend, you can call yourself that, do your thing. The rest of us do not have to participate in your delusion, and we will not be saying your pronouns or pretending that your delusion is anything other than unwellness,” Kelly said.
In addition to Trump’s executive order on Wednesday, the president, on Jan. 28, signed another order called “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation,” adding that the U.S. will not “fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the so-called ‘transition’ of a child from one sex to another, and it will rigorously enforce all laws that prohibit or limit these destructive and life-altering procedures.”
Kelly continued to talk about the legislation, saying how “Medicare funds or Medicaid funds” will not be able “to chop off the healthy genitals of children in the name of this sick ideology.” Within the bill, Trump clarified that the term child will apply to anyone under 19 years old and “chemical and surgical mutilation” will be considered “puberty blockers, including GnRH agonists and other interventions,” the use of sex hormones, “such as androgen blockers” and surgical procedures.
“67% of the Democratic Party is on the same page as Donald Trump on whether we should have boys who pretend to be girls playing in girls’ sports, men who pretend to be women playing in women’s sports. The answer is no. This was immoral. It was evil! And it’s coming to an end,” Kelly said.
According to a January New York Times/Ipsos survey, 79% of 2,128 respondents agreed biological males should not be able to compete in women’s sports, with 94% being Republicans or Republican-leaning, 67% being Democrats or Democrat-leaning and 64% identifying as independent or something else. Another Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll conducted by Noble Predictive Insights showed 59% of respondents said they supported a federal ban on sex-change procedures, including puberty blockers and gender reassignment surgeries for minors.
