Ivanka Trump’s staggering resume and rich family life may very well prove that women really can have it all.
Trump, a Wharton Business school-educated mother of three (Arabella, Theodore, and Joseph) is very public about her work-life balance. And her clothing line accentuates power, femininity, and durability.
The fashion and real estate executive gave an example of that balance during a recent Vogue profile:
“I wake up in the morning and get dressed, and before I leave I’m on the floor of the kitchen playing with my kids, then I’m in board meetings all day—half of the time walking through construction sites…”
Here are some ways Ivanka’s life illustrates that while life as a mom is a juggling act, women who want to, really can have it all.
1) Ivanka is not afraid to show people that parenting isn’t always glamorous:
This is a recent Instagram photo of Ivanka taken by paparazzi on the street:
Ivanka writes candidly:
“That moment when you are caught by the paparazzi with spit-up on your shirt. Thank you, baby Theodore.”
And she recently tackled the topic of “baby blues” in a blog post — something many new moms can relate to:

2) Ivanka has taken on a major role in her father’s presidential campaign while remaining a hands-on parent:
The real estate executive and mom may have given one of the most raved about speeches at the 2016 Republican National Convention. But here she is back at home, rocking a Baby Bjorn and watching RNC coverage on TV like the rest of us.
She also takes the time to stay connected with her kids, even when she’s away from them:
3) Ivanka sees women in the workplace as something to be celebrated:
The purpose of the businesswoman’s #WomenWhoWork initiative is to:
“Celebrate the many different ways in which women work — and to redefine, and break stereotypes around, what it looks like to be a working woman today.”

4) Ivanka optimizes her time to ensure she can spend as much of it with her kids as possible…but she also carves out time for herself:
Here’s Ivanka discussing how many hours (not many) she sleeps a night to ensure she has a full day as a working mom:
She told People:
“I want my children to see me first every morning, so I wake up at 5 a.m. and make sure to shower and exercise before they get up,” says Ivanka, 34, in a two-part interview with PEOPLE. Then she makes a breakfast of “fancy” oatmeal topped with almonds, walnuts and berries – “anything to get the kids excited to eat oatmeal.”
5) Ivanka is a committed advocate for other women:
Through her online presence and initiatives, Ivanka continues to bring other female executives and entrepreneurs to the forefront.

On the #WomenWhoWork website, Ivanka’s profiled many fellow entrepreneurs, such as Hitha Palepu, who’s a “blogger and packing guru.”
6) Ivanka considers feminine attire in the workplace empowering:
As a fashion-forward executive, Ivanka continues to tout the power of a good pair of heels in the boardroom:
“You know, I can wear pink, if I want to. That’s probably not something that was done with great frequency in the mid-eighties.
I think what’s different today versus my mother’s generation, at least in America, is that we are able to express our femininity, we don’t have to assimilate to a man’s wardrobe to reinforce the fact that it’s appropriate that we’re in a boardroom.”
7) Ivanka is dedicated to continuing to ‘date’ her husband:
In 2009, Ivanka converted to Judaism in order to marry publisher and investor, Jared Kushner.
She calls making quality time with her husband a priority, saying, “at the end of the day I’m meeting my husband for a dinner date.”
In the way that she lives her life, it’s not hard to see why admiration for Ivanka has continued to grow throughout this election season.
