In a letter to top Democratic leaders, White House counsel Pat Cipollone wrote a letter on Monday, on behalf of the president that they will not cooperate with the House surrounding the impeachment probe if they do not vote on it, as IJR previously reported.
“As you know, you have designed and implemented your inquiry in a maimer that violates fundamental fairness and constitutionally mandated due process,” the letter reads.
On Fox News “America’s Newsroom” on Wednesday, Jordan responded to the letter, as he said, “The Democrats are trying to impeach the president of the United States based on anonymous whistleblower — 13 months before an election. An anonymous whistleblower who has no firsthand knowledge and has a bias against the president.”
Therefore, as Jordan says, “Of course the White House is fed up with this.”
He later added:
“If it was so frightening and so crazy, why did the whistleblower wait 18 days to file the complaint? I think there’s lots of questions we have to have. Frankly, we do need to hear more about and know more about this whistleblower if we’re ever going to get to the bottom of this. The American people deserve that when you think about the impeachment of the guy we elected president.”
On if he believes the House will vote on formal impeachment, Jordan said, “It seems like they’re headed down that road,” but “unfortunately I think they made a decision before they looked at the evidence because there is no evidence to support this.”
“It doesn’t seem like they’re going to do it,” he said of the House taking a vote on the floor, adding, “They continue to make the rules up as they go along.”

Additionally, Jordan took a swipe at his Democratic colleagues early Wednesday for “‘striking while the iron is hot’ that they didn’t even have a vote to start their crazy impeachment proceedings!”
The Republican lawmaker suggested the House Democrats didn’t vote on the impeachment inquiry yet because “maybe they didn’t want to go on record for the American people.
“President Trump is right to call them out for this biased [and] unfair process,” he added.
Democrats are so busy “striking while the iron is hot” that they didn’t even have a vote to start their crazy impeachment proceedings!
Or maybe they didn’t want to go on record for the American people.
President Trump is right to call them out for this biased & unfair process.

Jordan isn’t the only Republican lawmaker to take notice and comment on the White House’s letter to the House of Representatives.
“House Democrats have wanted to undo the results of the 2016 election for three years, and now they’re rushing a sham impeachment process,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) declared.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) also chimed in, as he said it takes “the highest level of fairness and due process” to overturn any U.S. election, “as it strikes at the core of our democratic process.”
