Senator Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) had some disparaging things to say about men following the allegation against Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh has been accused of sexual assault by Christine Blasey Ford over an incident she claims happened during a high school party more than three decades ago. The Supreme Court nominee denies the allegations completely and has agreed to testify during a public hearing scheduled for Monday. Ford has not yet agreed to testify. Despite not hearing from Ford or seeing any hard evidence, Hirono launched into an attack on Kavanaugh and all men for “perpetrating” sexual assault.
Watch:
“Of course, it helps that there are women on [the Judiciary Committee], but you know what? I expect the men in this country and the men in this committee because believe me, we all signed onto this letter, to demand an FBI investigation. But really. Guess who’s perpetuating these kinds of actions. It’s the men in this country and I just want to say to the men in this country, just shut up and step up. Do the right thing, for a change. Okay, you can see I’m a little upset by this, you know, the fairness of it.”
Many people were “upset” and questioned the “fairness” of her comments because she is seemingly blaming all men for the disgusting actions of a few.
“Shut up?” Tell that to all the innocent MEN in this country & around the world who’ve lost their families, careers, and freedom (if not their lives) because of false rape LIES perpetuated by women & enabled by dolts who “believe” based on gender instead of EVIDENCE. https://t.co/MWOroxWXtm

Who the hell do you think you are? All the men in this country should shut up? You’re a fool. https://t.co/8KSMw2EOks

Hirono and her Senate colleagues will have a chance to raise questions to Kavanaugh on Monday, but it is still unknown if Ford will testify. Right now, her attorneys have demanded that the FBI complete an investigation before she will consider testifying.
