Labor Secretary Acosta says Epstein Crimes ‘Horrific’

U.S. Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta said on Tuesday that he was glad financier Jeffrey Epstein was being prosecuted on sex trafficking charges and defended himself against criticism over the way he handled the case as a former federal prosecutor.

“The crimes committed by Epstein are horrific, and I am pleased that NY prosecutors are moving forward with a case based on new evidence,” Acosta said on Twitter. “With the evidence available more than a decade ago, federal prosecutors insisted that Epstein go to jail, register as a sex offender and put the world on notice that he was a sexual predator.”

“If one believes the (true) rumors of corruption in the DoJ, especially under Obozo, then it’s easy to understand why Epstein “skated” on the original charges with a light sentence.” I Ching, AKA Screwtape

The Acosta deal was done in 2008.
Obama was inaugurated January 20, 2009.

“federal prosecutors insisted that Epstein go to jail” Acosta

Acosta is trying to confuse what he allowed. Epstein went to jail, all right. For only thirteen months. Oh, and he was allowed out of jail 6 days per week, for up to 16 hours per day, because he had an important job. Imagine YOU getting such a sweetheart deal if you were convicted of similar crimes. Yeah, right, sweetie.

Acosta broke the law by making this deal without informing the witnesses.

Before anyone rushes to judgement on Acosta, let’s consider how little we know about the evidence they had against Epstein and his powerful, influential ties at the time, which included (allegedly) Prince Andrew, Slick Willie, and other Dim luminaries who he influence by money OR threats to tattle.

If one believes the (true) rumors of corruption in the DoJ, especially under Obozo, then it’s easy to understand why Epstein “skated” on the original charges with a light sentence.
