Letterman Nabs Obama as First Guest for New Netflix Show

Former President Barack Obama is set to be late-night legend David Letterman’s first guest on his new Netflix series next week, marking 44’s return to major talk show scene.

According to a promotional video released on Friday, an interview with Obama will be featured on the debut episode of Letterman’s new “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” Netflix exclusive talk show, set to drop on Jan. 12.

While the show will be Obama’s return to a TV talk show, the new monthly Netflix program will also mark Letterman’s return to show business after leaving his historic run hosting “The Late Show” back in 2015.

According to Netflix, each episode will “centered around one extraordinary figure whom Dave finds fascinating,” and will highlight “intimate, in-depth and far-reaching” conversations.

Other A-list celebrities set to appear this season include Tina Fey, Jay Z, Nobel Prize-winning activist Malala Yousafzai, Howard Stern, and George Clooney.
