Graham Nails Those ‘Worried’ About Declassification of Mueller Docs: Concerned About ‘Being Exposed’

Senate Judiciary Chairman Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) explained that those “worried” about the upcoming declassification of intelligence related to the Russia investigation are really just concerned about “being exposed” for acting outside the law.

Speaking with  “Fox News Sunday,” Graham gave host Chris Wallace his thoughts regarding Trump’s order to declassify documents related to the investigation into Russian election interference, saying that he believes Attorney General William Barr “can be trusted” with the information.

He also stated that he thinks those who are “worried” about the declassification simply do not want to be “exposed for taking the law into their own hands.”

“I think [Barr] can be trusted, and I’m going to look at this. Nobody doubted my trust or my ability to be fair when I supported [Special Counsel Robert] Mueller. The people who are worried about this are worried about being exposed for taking the law into their own hands.”

“It doesn’t surprise me that the people we are looking at, they don’t want transparency,” continued Graham. “We’re not trying to compromise national security here.”

Watch the video here:

“We’re trying to create a system to ensure this never happens again by shedding light on the FISA warrant process, the counterintelligence investigation,” he added.

The Senate Judiciary Committee chairman continued on to say that “every American” had the right to know if the intelligence community back then “had a lawful reason to surveil President Trump’s campaign” and whether or not they “lied to the FISA court” to obtain a warrant.

Graham’s comments came after Trump ordered the intelligence community on Thursday to work with Barr’s investigation into the origins of the probe into the president’s 2016 presidential campaign.

The White House also gave the attorney general the authority to “declassify intelligence” related to the investigation in line with laws regarding the handling of classified information, which Democrats like Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) have criticized.

Like Graham, Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) theorized that those concerns stem from knowing that the documents “will actually put the finger pointing back at him and his Democrat colleagues, not the president of the United States,” as IJR Red reported.

There are plenty of Dumbocrats with skidmarks in their drawers these days. Maybe they’ll panic in anticipation of the hammer coming down on them and stampede
over the precipice of their own making like the ad a few years ago where grandma was propelled over a cliff by the mean old GOP.

Wheres Trumps tax returns?
Why not release the entire Mueller report?
Trump is most likely compromised by the Russians. A Russian toy in our White House. Sad.

I think we find the 9 people who were sharing beverages on Hillary’s private server — then we know those who were leading the coup!!

It’s ironic and hypocritical that those crying “Transparency!” and for disclosure of PRIVATE tax returns now object to the revelation of documents paid for and prepared using OUR tax dollars.

Maybe we’ll get to the bottom of the corruption that was the Obama administration from top to bottom. IRS targeting Conservative groups, helping the Hillarrhoid rig a primary nomination and attempting to rig an election, illegal wiretapping using a fake, party paid dossier to support two FISA wire tap orders of the opposing party campaign, ‘secret’ societies within the Obama Administration to obstruct the Trump Presidency even before he was elected, continuing baseless attacks on the President and his nominations. They have a lot to answer for. The truth will out and the Democrats are scared. Just like the memo,… Read more »
