‘They Would Essentially Make us Slaves to Socialism’: Cheney Slams Democrats for Recent Policy Proposals

The third-ranking Republican in the House of Representatives Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) fired off against the Democrats during a Sunday radio interview, torching them for allowing the newer, progressive members “set the agenda” and claiming that Americans are seeing the party “embrace” socialism because of it.

While giving an interview on John Catsimatidis’s radio show, Cheney — the at-large Representative for the state of Wyoming — commented on the Democratic Party’s “different approach” from the days of President John F. Kennedy, claiming they have now started to “embrace” socialism as well as policies that “would fundamentally steal power from the American people and give it to the government.”

She then claimed that the policies “would essentially make us slaves to socialism” and that the “voices” advocating for these ideas “are driving the agenda of the Democratic Party.”

The Wyoming Republican went on to say that the Democrats were at a crossroads where they had to “decide” on whether or not they would allow their party “be hijacked by the socialists.”

Cheney continued on to say:

“Right now, they’re letting the most radical voices, including Congresswomen [Alexandria] Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and [Rashida] Tlaib (D-Mich.), they’re letting them to set the agenda and they’re following them. And I think that’s very dangerous for the nation. I hope that that will stop, but unfortunately I don’t see any signs that it will.”

The number three House Republican then blasted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) as being afraid of the “social media power of these young Democrats” and not having “control” over her caucus. She also claimed that some of her moderate Democrat colleagues are afraid to speak out against the socialist policies due to fears of being “primaried.”

Cheney has served in the House since 2017 and is currently the House Republican Conference Chair. She took over the old congressional seat of her father former Vice President Dick Cheney.

One supposes that dehumanizing one group makes it just as easy to do another. Identifying people by skin color, religion, ethnicity still exists. It’s called identity politics.

Don’t believe that slavery was an exclusively Southern ideology. It was a Dimocratic ideology including the founder, Andrew Jackson. Note also Jackson’s betrayal, genocide, dispossession, and persecution of Native Americans to benefit his land-speculating cronies. Yes, he was a prototypic Dimocrat. q.v. Bill Clinton.

“We work so you can eat” isn’t just Socialism. It’s the essence of slavery. q.v Lincoln’s anti-slavery debates against Stephen Douglas, a NORTHERN Dimocrat and slavery advocate.

Ms. Cheney is dead on target. Anyone who cannot see Socialism is being shoved down our throats is either blind or just plain ignorant. There are NO Dems/Socialists in D.C. with the backbone to stand up to these Communist-lites; especially Nancy Pelosi. She should resign from Congress and go hit her bottle full time.
