London Protesters Respond to ‘Trump Baby’ Balloon with One of Their Own Taking Swipe at City’s Mayor

Londoners continue with their gigantic balloons to represent figures in protest.

A month after the “Trump Baby” balloon welcomed President Donald Trump to his first London visit as president of the United States, protestors in the city hoisted a balloon of mayor Sadiq Khan — in a bikini:

The group of protesters, some wearing “Make London safe again” shirts, were expressing criticism over Khan’s policies on crime in London, Fox News reported.

London homicides, knife crimes and acid attacks are reportedly on the rise, and apparently some Londoners are saying enough.

The bikini references an advertisement that showed a woman in a bikini and asked, “Are you beach body ready?” Khan had banned the ad saying it promoted “unhealthy or unrealistic body images,” BBC reported, which created controversy.

With the approximately $75,000 balloon, Organizer Yanny Bruere said the protest was set up “in retaliation” for the Trump balloon.

“I think a certain amount of respect should be afforded to the leader of the free world and the greatest ally the U.K. has,” Bruere said.

It was also the anti-trump mayor who gave permission to fly the balloon of President Trump.

The balloon also followed the president during is visit to his golf course in Scotland:

“It’s not my job to censor the views of Londoners,” Khan said in defense of his decision to allow the “Trump Baby” balloon.

President Trump has previously slammed the London mayor, saying in July, according to The Sun:

“You have a mayor who has done a terrible job in London. He has done a terrible job … I think he has done a bad job on crime, if you look, all of the horrible things going on there, with all of the crime that is being brought in.”
