Former first lady Melania Trump is worried about her husband’s safety as there is less than for weeks until the Nov. 5 election.

Melania Trump placed the blame on Democrats for creating a “toxic atmosphere” that has put former President Donald Trump in danger.

“I think, you know, when they call him, he’s a threat to democracy, let’s ask ourselves who is really a threat to democracy. They are ongoing with lawfare against the former president, as well as, you know, trying to get him off of the voting ballots and trying to silence him,” said Melania Trump on Fox News’ “The Five” Tuesday.

“So, yes, of course, I was always afraid [of] what can happen and that they continue with that kind of language [that] is just – it’s a toxic, toxic atmosphere,” she added.

Donald Trump has been the target of two assassination attempts since July. The first attempt was when he was campaigning in Butler, Pennsylvania, and a bullet grazed his ear.

Then, in September, would-be assassin Ryan Routh was seen at Donald Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Routh’s rifle was allegedly poking out of the tree line near the area where Trump was playing golf.

If a return to the White House is in her future, Melania Trump said she will continue her “Be Best” and “Fostering the Future” initiatives for children and women.

The “Fostering the Future” initiative started in 2021.

The program secures educational opportunities and scholarships for children in the foster care community, per her website.

“I have many students now, so I will continue with that, and we need to give back to those children and support them so once they have education, they could have a great job, and after that, they could give back to communities,” Melania Trump told “The Five.”

Co-host Judge Jeanine Pirro asked how she would convince someone to vote for the Republican candidate and may still be undecided.

“Well, we could see in the four years that he was there, [the] country was in great shape. [The] country was safe. [The] country was prosperous. And he would bring that back,” she said.

“All he wants… He wants to make this country safe, so everybody has a job and enjoying family life. And, you know, he’s treating everybody equal,” she added.
