Three words summed up first lady Melania Trumpâs feelings about ABCâs Jimmy Kimmel.
âEnough is enough,â Trump wrote in a post on X about a monologue â the late-night talk show host delivered prior to the shooting at the White House Correspondentsâ Dinner Saturday night.
âKimmelâs hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isnât comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America,â Trumpâs post started.âPeople like Kimmel shouldnât have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate.â
âA coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him.
âEnough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABCâs leadership enable Kimmelâs atrocious behavior at the expense of our community,â she concluded.
Kimmel referred to Trump as âan expectant widowâ Thursday night in a parody previewing the event.
âOur First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow,â Kimmel said.
Kimmel also mocked the Trumpsâ relationship.
âOh, by the way, Melania, this is Donald. Donald, this is Melania,â Kimmel said.
Kimmelâs segment aired just days before the annual Correspondentsâ Dinner when authorities said 31-year-old Cole Allen of Torrance, California, rushed a Secret Service checkpoint at the Washington Hilton armed with multiple weapons and opened fire on an officer.
