A disgruntled public utility employee opened fire with a handgun on co-workers at a municipal building in Virginia on Friday afternoon, killing 12 people and wounding at least four before he was fatally shot by […]
Another day, another lunatic. This is disheartening, but we live in crazy days. I choose not to wallow in paranoia but one never knows what could happen at any given time, anyplace.
This is a prime example of why those of us with concealed weapons permits/licenses carry our weapons every time we leave home. Even at home, my weapons are closer than my front door.
May those taken too soon and senselessly RIP.
This is area is the municipal center which is about ten miles from the resort community. Please report correctly. Thank you.
I’m surprised something like this hasn’t happened at nearby Regent University yet. You can’t create disgruntled employees by the hundreds and then expect no consequences… but no one cares until something like this happens. We should treat humans better because we all suffer from a hateful soceity.
The shooter is DEAD. He is not craving anything. His 11 victims were not craving fame either. If given a choice before the first gun shot, they would all have preferred to be home with their family and friends this weekend. I am enheartened with your aggravation that it interrupts football games. Perhaps you will be one to come up with a solution that the gun rights over human lives folks will find satisfactory.
Perhaps YOU should learn some facts before making such a short-sighted remark: “. . . the gun rights over human lives folks . . .” As usual, you have NO facts on which to base your anti-Rights vitriol. I suggest you find and read the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights which gives ALL Americans the RIGHT to keep and bear arms. YOU have that RIGHT whether you choose to exercise that 1791 Constitutional RIGHT or not.
In short – FYI & FACTS – those “gun rights folks” are MORE law-abiding with their guns than the average citizen. NOT one of the “gun rights folks” have committed a massacre; it’s always a disgruntled or mentally unhinged (Democrat) employee or nut job.
I’ll take, “Censoring is not the Solution” for $200 please…
Both Bevo and Uga get treated like royalty by their teams’ respective fan bases. All of these live college mascots do. They’re as popular as the teams themselves. I know Uga’s doghouse is air conditioned, and he stays in the same hotel as the football team. Something tells me the animals are doing just fine.
