Mitch McConnell Harassed at Airport by Kavanaugh Protestors Over Support for ‘Most Impressive’ SCOTUS Nominee

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was confronted by anti-Kavanaugh protesters at the airport in Washington, D.C.

A group of protesters, those who opposed Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, followed McConnell through Ronald Reagan National Airport, asking him if he believed the sexual assault accusations made against Kavanaugh.

“How many stories of sexual violence do you need to hear in order to believe women?” one woman asked in the video.

McConnell doesn’t respond in the video to the female protestors.

Watch the video below:

This follows after McConnell gave a speech on the Senate floor on Monday when he said the Senate will hold a final vote this week on Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

“Democrats may be trying to move the goalposts every five minutes, but their goal has not moved an inch,” McConnell said on Monday.

Watch the video below:

This comes amid the FBI investigation into the sexual assault accusations made against the Supreme Court nominee deadline of Friday.

He also called Kavanaugh “one of the most qualified and most impressive Supreme Court nominees in our nation’s history.”

“The time for endless delay and obstruction has come to a close. Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination is out of committee. We’re considering it here on the floor and … we’ll be voting this week,” McConnell said in another tweet.

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) said he would support Kavanaugh, as long as there was a one-week FBI investigation into the allegations made against the Supreme Court nominee, and would continue to support him unless the investigations found something.

Republicans hold a 51-49 majority, while Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine.) and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Ark.) are still undecided and no Democrats claim that they will support Kavanaugh.

  1. I think that the democrats, when this is all said and done will have moved the “Me Too” movement backwards 20 years.

  2. Just the “Me Too” movement” Stephen Joseph Stefanick??? How ’bout the Dems have moved the whole political process and the entire make up of the Democratic Party back to its KKK days…???

  3. First we have Mitchell’s less that glowing report on Ford’s testimony (understatement), then we have Swetnick walking back her accusations on national TV, and Ramirez has no confirming witnesses for a huge frat party. Now we have democrats investigating a gameday fight in a bar? Where K may have thrown ICE on a guy that insulted him? Come on folks. This is ridiculous. It is school yard clik tactics. Reminds me of mean girls talking about rivals behind their backs, and starting rumors. Really Kamala? A “Jane Doe” letter with no postal mark, no name, no return signature, no return address, but saying it’s writer is “credible” ? Get frigging real. I am a real rape survivor and I am insulted as hell by these antics of the Democrats. They have damaged themselves, and sexual predator victims causes immeasurably. My advice to them is “Just Shut Up”.

  4. Faith, I am so sorry for the horrible situation you had to deal with. No women deserves any treatment that is negative. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I also agree with you that the way this has been handled has damaged true victims forever. God Bless those true victims and help those that falsely accuse any man wrongly.

  5. OMG – what is wrong with these people? They have no common decency and should be ashamed of themselves! I am very upset that this is happening in our country!

    • Could not agree more! Rep & Dems can fight all day while their elected officials rape them worse than Kavanaugh did the entire SCOTUS hearing!

  6. Faith, I worry that one day you could be in the same situation as one of the three known victims. I hope you are faced with the same confirmation bias and ignorance you have shown in your comment.

    • Unbelievable! That just might be the most pompous comment I have ever read. I guess you missed the part where Faith is “a real rape survivor”, unlike ANY situation your so-called “three KNOWN victims” have been in. Then you have the nerve to call Faith ignorant. Who really is the ignorant one here? Let me help you with that question, monica. They have yet to make a scale that can measure the ignorance AND the self-righteousness in your comment.
Sorry Faith. I’m sure you don’t need me to stick up for you, but when I read such a sanctimonious comment as monica’s, it’s difficult for me not to respond.
