MSNBC host Symone Sanders-Townsend cast some shade on House Democrats Tuesday night as they hoisted signs in protest of President Donald Trump during his address to Congress.
Sanders-Townsend likened the use of signs to “bingo.”
The paddles were emblazoned with “False,” “Save Medicaid,” and “Musk Steals.”
Sanders-Townsend wrote on X that the stunt was not “landing.”
“Why are democrats just sitting there? The signs are not landing. It is giving bingo! Sigh,” she wrote.
Sanders-Townsend added in another post, “‘B42. B42…BINGO!’ They are not taking back the house with these visuals,” she wrote.
“Democratic leadership did not do their members any favors by stifling their desires to speak out,” Sanders-Townsend added.
There was a twitter of activity on X in response to the protests.
Trump deputy assistant Alex Pfeiffer wrote, “When she’s right, she’s right.”
White House special assistant Harrison Fields stood up for bingo.
“That’s an insult to BINGO!” he wrote.
Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) became so disruptive, he was escorted out, as IJR reported on.
Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-N.M.) utilized a handmade sign that read, “This is NOT normal.”
