Fox’s Napolitano Says Evidence of Impeachable Behavior Is ‘Overwhelming’

Fox News judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano said Democrats have brought enough evidence forward to justify as many as four articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, if not more.

Judge Napolitano, who has become one of the few Fox hosts to frequently criticize Trump, made the comments on The Reason Interview podcast with Nick Gillespie.

“The Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee have unearthed enough evidence, in my opinion, to justify about three or four articles of impeachment against the president,” Napolitano said, saying the first charge would be bribery. “The second charge will be high crimes and misdemeanors, election law violation… The third crime will be obstruction of justice. The fourth will be interference with a witness and the fifth may be lying under oath.”

Napolitano added his belief that it was unlikely Republicans remove Trump from office, saying the evidence of bribery was strong enough for impeachment — a political process — but not to convict in a criminal court of law. Back in May, after the Mueller report was released, Napolitano said Trump clearly obstructed justice in the investigation of Russia’s election interference.

“He hasn’t presented a defense and I don’t know if he plans to,” Napolitano said on the podcast. “The evidence of his impeachable behavior at this point, in my view, is overwhelming.”

Napolitano has emerged as one of the few prominent Fox News analysts who frequently criticizes the president. In October, Trump blasted Napolitano, saying he only began criticizing Trump after the president turned him down as a potential Supreme Court nominee.

  1. The idea of impeaching the President was floated around before Trump was even sworn in. It’s all kind of pathetic and sets a bad president going into the future. Just offer a decent candidate and beat Trump with ideas and plans that are better than what he is offering. The problem is that the Democrats have little to offer. the DNC doesn’t like the decent candidates (Tulsi)and the only winning idea they have is taking pot off being a class1 drug. Else than that its gun-grabbing and higher taxes. They do offer hate, lots of hate.

  2. contusion and softy-both of you have gone to great lengths here to slander Fox. NOW, look at your comments. You two are the hypocrites that you both appear to be.

  3. Sherri, the question is NOT what Napolitano has in his closet– If he had ANYTHING Trump would have let you know when he contradicted Barr’s assessment of the contents of the Mueller Report. Napolitano is one of the few FOX analysts, guests and hosts that has not forsaken his law degree or pretends that they have one, as in the case of Bongino. The question you should be asking is WHY is it important to you that you continue to be lied to.

  4. “What’s hiding in Nap’s closet?” Sherri

Oh, Sherri. You feel so threatened by truth that you feel that you have to try to start slandering the messenger when you SHOULD be weighing your Dear Leader’s crimes and misbehavior, etc. Yes, I said crimes.

    1. What crimes? Remember, your OPINION about what constitutes a crime doesn’t count, contusion.
