The NASCAR world was rocked Thursday evening after news broke that veteran driver Kyle Busch had died following a sudden illness.
According to the New York Post, Busch, a two-time Cup Series champion and one of the sport’s most recognizable stars, was 41 years old.

“We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport’s greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old,” NASCAR said.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.”
The announcement stunned racing fans and fellow drivers across the sport, where Busch built a reputation as both a dominant competitor and one of NASCAR’s most intense personalities.
