Nikki Haley Makes Major Announcement About 2024

Share

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) has officially launched her campaign for president.

Haley posted the video announcement on Twitter Thursday morning.

“Get excited! Time for a new generation. Let’s do this!” Haley captioned the video.

She says in the video, “I was the proud daughter of Indian immigrants — not Black, not white. I was different.”

Haley continues, “My mom would always say your job is not to focus on the differences but the similarities. My parents reminded me and my siblings every day how blessed we were to live in America.”

She explains, “Some look at our past as evidence that America’s founding principles are bad. They say the promise of freedom is just made up. Some think our ideas are not just wrong, but racist and evil. Nothing could be further from the truth.”

Later in the video, Haley points out Republicans have lost the popular vote in seven out of the last eight presidential elections.

“I don’t put up with bullies. And when you kick back, it hurts them more if you’re wearing heels,” Haley says.

It was reported that Haley will be delivering remarks Wednesday in Charleston, South Carolina, at a campaign event.

The former governor is joining former President Donald Trump in the run for the GOP nomination.

Earlier this month, Trump appeared to criticize Haley during an interview.

“Nikki suffers from something that’s a very tough thing to suffer from: She’s overly ambitious,” Trump said.

Trump previously shared Haley called him to discuss the possibility of a White House run.

“Go by your heart if you want to run,” Trump said to her.

The former president said he told Haley she “should do it.”
