MSNBC faced backlash Tuesday after becoming the only major television network not to air coverage of the White House ceremony honoring the late Charlie Kirk with the Medal of Freedom.
While nearly every other major broadcasterāincluding CNN, Fox News, ABC, NBC, NewsNation, Newsmax, One America News, and Right Side Broadcasting Network āaired President Donald Trumpās address in full, MSNBC chose instead to run a segment on the administrationās new tariffs.
āIn a pathetic, biased tantrum, MSNBCāthe propaganda arm of the radical leftāstands alone as the ONLY network boycotting President Trumpās heroic Medal of Freedom ceremony for Charlie Kirk, proving once again theyāre too cowardly to cover real American patriotism,ā said Patriots Day Freedom Fest host Eric Deters.
Conservative figures across social media echoed the outrage, calling the networkās decision ādisgustingā and āscum,ā with many saying that even CNN, often critical of Trump, broadcast the entire event live.
Trump posthumously awarded Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom following his assassination during a debate at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. During the ceremony, Erika Kirk urged supporters to ābe the embodiment of this medalā and āstand courageously in the truth.ā
Federal and local officials arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson after a two-day manhunt for Kirkās murder. He faces multiple charges, including aggravated murder, firearm discharge causing injury, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and committing a violent crime in front of children.
