‘I Don’t Hate Anybody!’: Pelosi Blasts Reporter Who Asked If She Hates the President

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) forcefully rejected the suggestion that she hates President Donald Trump during her weekly press conference on Thursday.

As Pelosi was leaving the room, Sinclair Broadcast reporter James Rosen asked about Rep. Doug Collins’ (R-Ga.) claim that Democrats are moving to impeach the president “simply because they don’t like the guy.”

“Do you hate the president?” Rosen asked, leading Pelosi to stop in her tracks and respond, “I don’t hate anybody!”

Watch the exchange below:

Pelosi returned to the lectern to blast Trump for not supporting gun control legislation and accuse him of being in “denial about the climate crisis.”

“I think the president is a coward when it comes to helping our kids who are afraid of gun violence. I think he is cruel when he doesn’t deal with helping our DREAMers. I think he’s in denial about the climate crisis.”

But, she added, “that’s about the election. Take it up in the election. [Impeachment] is about the Constitution of the United States and the facts that lead to the president’s violation of his oath of office.”

Pelosi continued to blast Rosen for suggesting she “hates” the president, saying she prays for Trump “all the time.”

“And as a Catholic, I resent your using the word hate in a sentence that addresses me. I don’t hate anyone; I was raised in a way that is full … a heart full of love and always pray for the president. And I still pray for the president. I pray for the president all the time. So don’t mess with me when it comes to words like that.”

Trump responded to Pelosi’s comments saying in a tweet, ” I don’t believe her.”

“I’ll take the Speaker at her word,” said House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), adding, “But if she paused for a moment. If she looked at just the facts, she would not have made that determination.”

When pressed further on whether he believes Pelosi when she said she doesn’t hate Trump, McCarthy said, “I think I have a hard time believing her.”

Pelosi’s press conference came shortly after she announced that she is asking the House Judiciary Committee to draft articles of impeachment against the president.

I wonder if Nancy would pop a vein if another reporter had asked how she AS A NOMINAL CATHOLIC can support abortion. Even the socialist pope won’t go that far.

Of course you don’t hate anyone Nancy. You pay people to do that for you.

By the way nice bullying threat you made to that American citizen, i.e. the reporter.

So she plays the Catholic card when using the work “hate” but not when it comes to protecting the lives of innocent babies in the womb. Hmmm.
