Thousands of Immigrants Are Marching North to America But Pelosi Thinks the Wall Is a ‘Manhood Issue’ for Trump

There are currently thousands of Honduran immigrants marching north through Guatemala and Mexico with the United States in their sights, but House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) still thinks President Donald Trump’s plan for a border wall is about his “manhood.”

According to Fox News, there are approximately 2,000 immigrants heading toward the United States.

Watch:

The caravan of Honduran immigrants has been proceeding north for a few days, drawing many warnings from American officials. Vice President Mike Pence warned the immigrants, “Don’t put your families at risk by taking the dangerous journey north to attempt to enter the United States illegally.”

Additionally, Trump has tweeted that Honduras could face a backlash from the United States if they do not intervene and warned the immigrants that they will be deported if they enter illegally.

While Trump has been focused on this caravan of immigrants, Pelosi claimed that Democrats will work to block a Republican plan to fund the wall.

During a speech at Harvard, Pelosi stated, “It happens to be like a manhood issue for the president, building a wall, and I’m not interested in that.”

Pelosi claimed that Democrats support securing the border, they just don’t support building the wall. “We can’t allow him to say we’re not interested in protecting the border. That isn’t the only way to protect the border. In fact, it’s probably the worst way to protect the border.”

While that may be the position Pelosi took, Democrats have dragged their feet in supporting any immigration reform brought forward by Republicans.

Trump has turned the issue into fuel for Republicans in the 2018 midterm elections, claiming that electing Republicans is the only way to ensure new, strong immigration policies.

Republicans plan to tackle funding the wall immediately following the November 6 elections during the lame duck session. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) stated that the current plan offers Democrats a compromise: protections for DACA recipients in return for full wall funding.

My old relatives in Germany in the thirties, Jews, were concerned with what was happening. They were told to basically chill, they were over reacting. Fortunately, they acted on their fears and fled and survived. Sometimes the accusation of fear mongering has a real basis to be feared. Only fools… Read more »

You do realize that the VAST MAJORITY of illegal immigrants do not get into this country via the southern border, right? They aren’t even the ones that are growing the fastest.

So it is ok when home owners build fences and walls around their properties to keep out undesirables but God forbid we want to protect our great country from illegal immigration by putting up an impregnable wall!
