Armed Man Tries to Carjack Two Different People – They Both Thwart Him With Their Own Guns

After robbing a Walmart, an armed man attempted to carjack two different people but was thwarted both times by the victims’ guns.

According to Fox News 30, alleged robber Christopher Raymond Hill went into a Walmart liquor store and asked the cashier LaToya King for change for a $20.

When King told him he had to buy something, he purchased a pack of cigarettes. However, when she opened the cash register, he leaped over the counter, grabbed the register, and ran out of the store.

In a nearby parking lot, Hill approached Scott Reardean and asked for a ride. When Reardean refused, Hill cut him with a knife.

However, Reardean was able to reach his own firearm, and when he pointed the gun at the attempted carjacker, Hill ran.

“I reached in between my glove box and my console, between my seats, reached down and got my weapon and brandished it for him,” he told News 4 Jax. “He was like, ‘Don’t shoot me.’ I was like, ‘Then get out of here.'”

The thwarted attempt didn’t dissuade Hill from trying to catch another ride, therefore he approached a woman waiting in line at a Starbucks drive-thru.

According to Fox News 30, when the female victim rolled down her passenger window to see what Hill wanted, he opened her door and got into the car.

After she tried to push him out of her car, she got out, went to the trunk, and retrieved her pistol.

When Hill got out of the car and started to approach her again, she aimed her gun at him and he fled the scene.

“These guys can talk about banning assault rifles and banning guns, but when it comes and happens to them, they’re going to wish they had one,” Reardean told News 4 Jax. “I’m glad I had [my gun] on me.”

Police reportedly found Hill inside a bathroom at Supercuts, but he came out at the orders of officers.

Fox News 30 reports that he’s been arrested on charges of strong-arm robbery, carjacking with a firearm or deadly weapon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and trespassing.
