PETA Targets Donald Trump Jr. With Blood-Stained, Leopard Halloween Costume

PETA took a stab at Donald Trump Jr.’s habit of hunting with its new Halloween costume that portrays Trump Jr. being mauled by a leopard.

The Trump Jr. Halloween costume features a blood-stained camouflage jacket with a leopard wrapped around the back. It also includes a red hat, which is a spinoff of the president’s “Make America Great Again” hat but instead reads “Donald Trump Jr.,” and a name tag that reads “Half-Cocked.” “There’s nothing more frightful than an entitled ghoul who gets his kicks from gunning down wild animals,” PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said in a statement. The costume is selling for $168.99, and PETA is already taking orders.

PETA said the costume was “inspired by and is a twist on the trophy-hunting photo that showed the Trump brothers grinning over the body of a dead leopard.” PETA claimed on its website that all profits from merchandise will go toward its work for animals. The president’s son has previously been criticized over his hunting trips in which he held big-game trophies:

He has also mixed political fundraising and hunting in the past:

On September 8, Trump Jr. attended a gator hunting fundraiser to raise money for Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry.

President Donald Trump is known for using the saying “Drain the swamp” — Trump Jr. swam in a swamp during his Louisiana trip.

Following the release of the images of Trump Jr. and Eric Trump holding the leopard and others during their hunting trip in Africa, President Trump defended his sons. “My sons love to hunt. They are members of the NRA, very proudly. I am a big believer in the Second Amendment,” the president said back in 2015, according to the Daily Mail.
